This Return & Refund Policy explains the terms that apply to purchases made from NY Bakery and Desserts, including bakery products, custom cakes, pastries, desserts, decorations, gifts, and related items.

Bakery & Perishable Products
Due to the perishable nature of our bakery products, all bakery, food, dessert, pastry, cake, cookie, seasonal food, and custom edible product sales are final once the order has been picked up, delivered, or preparation has begun.
- No returns on cakes, pastries, desserts, cookies, or other food products.
- No returns on custom cakes or personalized edible items once production has started.
- No refunds based on personal taste, flavor preference, design preference, or change of mind.
Decorations, Gifts & Non-Perishable Items
Decorations, gifts, and other non-perishable items may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery or pickup, provided that the item is unused, unopened, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
- Return requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery or pickup.
- Items must be unused, unopened, and in resellable condition.
- Personalized, custom-made, final sale, clearance, and seasonal items are not eligible for return unless defective or incorrect.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged, defective, or incorrect due to our error.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
- Provide your order number and a description of the issue.
- Photos may be required to help us review the claim.
- If the issue is confirmed to be our error, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after approval. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled only before preparation, production, or fulfillment begins. Once preparation, baking, customization, packing, or delivery scheduling has started, the order may no longer be eligible for cancellation or refund.
Shipping, Delivery & Pickup Time
Shipping, delivery, and pickup times are based on the option selected by the customer at checkout. Available delivery or pickup windows may vary depending on product type, preparation time, order volume, delivery address, and store availability.
- Customers choose an available delivery or pickup time during checkout.
- We prepare and fulfill orders according to the selected checkout option whenever possible.
- Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by traffic, weather, courier delays, or circumstances outside our control.
- If we are unable to fulfill an order for reasons within our control, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund.
Non-Returnable Items
- Perishable bakery and food products
- Custom cakes and personalized edible products
- Opened or used decorations and gift items
- Personalized, custom-made, final sale, clearance, or seasonal items
- Items damaged after delivery or pickup due to customer handling
Store Review & Discretion
All return, replacement, store credit, and refund requests are reviewed by NY Bakery and Desserts. Eligibility depends on the product type, order status, condition of the item, timing of the request, and the circumstances of the issue.
